DIY knit pillow cover

Thrifted sweater + scissors + needle + thread = cozy pillow

Check out that lovely nubby-ness!

I just placed my pillow on top of the sweater with one long side matched up to the already sewn seam of the sweater. Use the bottom hem of the sweater as the opening (like the open side of a pillowcase, but you will sew it up last). Cut around the pillow (through both sides of the sweater). Flip inside out. Sew up the two unfinished sides. Flip right side out. Shove the pillow inside and sew up the last opening from the outside. (I just used matching embroidery floss doubled up for extra strength).

*In case you were disgusted by this grimy old chair (really just the upholstery)...it is on the project list (along with 4 others just like it and 6 from another set). This task makes me think we should have bought new...
